Usability testing - on a train, First Transpennine Express
Brief: to test the train booking app with users to discover any major design concerns in using a new navigation. This involved canvassing customers about their experience using the current website, and good experiences on other similar booking sites.
Response: I convinced the the client to do a live guerilla-style testing methodology on a train with real passengers. I created the test plan, including tasks and a short questionnaire, and encouraged the client to participate in the testing so he could see issues at first-hand. I wrote and presented the usability test report to First TransPennine Express suggesting changes and next steps.
